“I will never forget the excitement of the first gospel singing of my childhood. Brother Merle Fullerton brought the big groups to town. I still remember how the Holy Spirit would move through the one-of-a-kind sound of southern gospel

music.”

I’ve gotten started late in in life singing for the Lord, and “I’ll not turn back” as the song says. I asked Jesus into my heart at age 7 and didn’t sing my first note for Him until I was 40. I now sing lead, baritone, and occasionally tenor for Gospel Messengers.

It’s an awesome experience to see a soul saved or a burden lifted during a concert by God’s unexplainable grace. I am a blessed man to serve the Savior with my best friend and bride, Gwen, along with our sons. We all have grown closer to one another as we yield to the Master. It is a tremendous inspiration as a family to work hard, and sing with joy as we share the Good News. I have fun playing the bass guitar and am thankful for all that my sons are now teaching me about music. We devote hours every week to practice and strive to have a good time while chasing a greater degree of musical perfection!
